What is a vacation without those special locations made perfect for picnic lunches, BBQ's and children's games and fun. Mexico Beach isn't lacking in the way of parks and recreational facilities. In fact the community is currently embarking on several projects which will enhance and build upon their already sizeable number of locations placed to serve the public's family oriented needs.
If you are looking for a premier spot to do some fishing, we suggest dropping a line at either the Mexico Beach Canal Park or from the Mexico Beach City Fishing Pier.

For easy public beach access, an abundance of walk overs are placed throughout the beaches' area, with locations at the Parker Tract, east of Toucan's Restaurant, Sunset Park, adjacent to the El Governor Motel and at several other easy to spot locations.

Just under the water tower, is the Mexico Beach Children's Park, featuring shuffle board courts, tennis courts, swings, picnic tables and BBQ grills.

For your convenience, restrooms are located at the Parker Tract, Canal Park and the City Children's Park, with more to come in late 1999 to the City Fishing Pier and Sunset Park.

Through cooperative efforts of the City of Mexico Beach and the Mexico Beach Community Development Council, more beach walkovers, restroom facilities and park improvements are on the immediate horizon. While in Mexico Beach we hope you will visit these public facilities and utilize them for your enjoyment.
